Titel: Autochton University at Cheyenne River, South Dakota

This camp is held in cooperation with Centro de Estudios Indigenas de las Americas, a nonprofit group established to set up a center for higher education for American indiginous people. The buildings are being designed to be ecologically sustainable and will operate from renewable energy resources. The university will be mostly to help Lakota young students to find a way out from the lack of opportunities that they are facing now. Several programs will be offered like: computer science, filming, history, marketing and farm administration among others.

Work: The volunteers will assist in the construction of the first building of the University.

Accommodation: Camping in tents, there is a house with a shower and kitchen. Volunteers will cook with the groceries provided.

Location: Near Howes, South Dakota, on the Cheyenne River Reservation.

Terminal: Rapid City, South Dakota.

Extra fee: There will be a participation fee of $100 for this camp.
