Description: PKBI Tegal our sister organization were started work in this area since 2002. They have been focused on key population for HIV-AIDS transmission; sex worker, and their customer. In this area, there lived 75 families with 36 kids, and 27 teenagers that recorded, and 150 sex worker that work there but not live in this area. Kids living in this area face so many bad behaviors such as violence, exploitation, and discrimination. The objective of this project is improving quality of life of the children living in this area by raise children’s good habit in near future, and raising awareness of people living nearby, so children can be treated fairly and less discriminated.

Type of Work: (1) Non-formal Education for kids, by have fun class about self-hygiene. (2) Character Building Education; educate kids to have good attitude (3) Raising local involvement in education; open discussion, public campaign trough community visit, cultural exchange

Create fun atmosphere for kids to studying self-hygiene, good attitude by storytelling, games, drawing, etc. School campaign to minimize kids-discrimination, or other local issue. Volunteer also will help kids learn English, and world culture.

Study Theme: making a small group of discussion about kids in red distric area

Accommodation: Volunteer house will be provided by local community with shared toilet and bathroom, sleeping bag and mattress needed, and self-cooking.

Language: English should be spoken among participants, but please kindly learn some Indonesian words to interact with local people.

Requirements: The participation fee payable upon arrival will 165 EURO covering foods, local transport, accommodation, administration cost, material for the camps, T-shirt, contribution to IIWC management, and IIWC certificate of participation. Volunteers are requested to bear their own health and travel insurance. . Please keep it in your mind that all personal expenses and free day expenses are excluded

Approximate Location: The work camp will be held in Jl. Raya Pantura Km. 11 desaSidaharjaKecamatanSuradadiKabupatenTegal.

Organization Description: IIWC (Indonesian International Work Camp) is one of PKBI (Eng: Indonesia Planned Parenthood Association) program who deal with IVS movement since 1999.
