Cox's Bazar Camp
Descrizione: The Cox’s bazar Sea Beach is the largest sea beach in the world and hundreds of national and international tourists visit this sea beach each day. However, cleanliness of the sea beach and sea water has become a big concern as many of the tourists do not have adequate knowledge to make the sea beach and sea water human friendly. On the other hand, a big number of fisheries community living in sea shore and living in unhygienic, unhealthy environment. This community is need to aware about hygiene behavior and basic health education. Under this back drop SCI BD in collaboration with YPSA organizing a cleaning camp at Conx’S Bazar. Therefore, educating tourists and fisher folk community on behavior change could be considered as an innovative approach.
Tipologia di lavoro: Symbolic demonstration (Cleaning & Campaign), Environment friendly tree plantation, door to door hygiene campaign.
__Parte studio: __ Discussion on Climate change and our role to make it friendly, visit local community to build social awareness.
Alloggio: Volunteers will stay at YPSA's dormitory. They will share common bathroom and toilet. Volunteers will be given simple vegetarian/Non-vegetarian food, to cook and manage themselves. Overseas volunteer will be hosted by SCI BD before and after the camp.
Lingua: English should be spoken among participants. Local language is Bengali
__Requisiti __ Volunteer will bring working shoes, hand gloves, sleeping bag, insect repellent, toiletries & good humor.
Ubicazione approssimata: YPSA, Cox’s Bazar campus, Kalatoli, Cox’s Bazar. 350 km from Dhaka the Capital.
