Chinese New Year workcamp
Description: The camp is open to participants from Sri Lanka, India and Malaysia as well as other Asian participants. We aim to improve the communication between participants from these countries and focus on the similarities between their cultures.
Type of Work: We will do cleaning and maintenance work at a local hostel, which provides affordable accomodation to young adults. The hostel is located in the mountains, so we will also assist with environmental clean-up work in the surrounding countryside.
Additionally, volunteers will help with preparation for a Capacity Building Training which will take place in Hong Kong shortly after.
Study Theme: This workcamp includes daily study sessions about Global Citizenship, Non-Violent Communication, Peacebuilding and Intercultural Communication. Participants may share their knowledge on these areas and are welcome to host one of the study sessions if they wish.
