Photo Project On NS-forced Labour (Berlin-Schöneweide)
Description: The Nazi Forced Labour Documentation Centre is located in Berlin Schöneweide on the grounds of an almost completely intact former forced labour camp. It focuses on a forgotten victim group: civilian forced labourers from all over Europe forced to work for the Nazi regime during the Second World War At the core of the project is a photographic exploration of the past at the former camp and production sites in Berlin Schöneweide and its surroundings.
Type of Work: Accompanied by a professional photographer, the international participants will visit various locations in South East Berlin. They will investigate how these sites were influenced by the war and by Nazi forced labour. The results will be presented in an exhibition that will be on display at the International Youth Center.
Study Theme: Historical and contemporary forms of forced labour, memory of Nazi forced labor.
Accommodation: Simple accommodation in a hostel in Berlin-Schöneweide.
Requirements: Interest in the History of National Socialism, interest in photography. Motivation Letter, special form is attached.
