School of Journalism Russian Language
Description: The most popular online magazine in the city Voronezh www.downtown.ru guides the project of the school of journalism and provides a media tutor. Aim of the project: promotion of intercultural cooperation, fight against stereotypes, building of cross-cultural bridges. Participants will learn the basics of mass media work and then write an article of Russian life in a provincial city. The best articles will be published in the magazine. Volunteers will also learn Russian together with the teacher in a language school
Type of Work: 2-3 hours per day
Study Theme: Participants will visit lectures about basics of journalism skills and have a journalist tutor. The project organsers offer language support - the language school is ready to provide classes of Russian languauge to participants of any proficiency level (starting from A2).
Accommodation: participants of the project will live in host families and they will have meals in the families. Separate rooms, WiFi and washing mashine is an obligatory part of the accommodation. Vegetarian meals are possible, please indicate it in your application form.
Requirements: Fee: 250 euro (course of Russian language, accommodation and sightseeing tours), Russian level min A1
Approximate Location: Voronezh is the capital of the Central Black Earth Region of Russia (1 million inhabitants). The city has very good connections Moscow-Voronezh via railway, busses and planes. The city keeps its historical outlook (founded in 16th century) and combines it with modern urban development
