English immersion camp, for young and old, in the Castle of Isabel I of Castile
Description: Madrigal de las Altas Torres is a little town in the north of the province of Avila (Castile and Leon). It is the town where Isabella I of Castile was born. In every corner of the town you will breathe history, cultural and architectural heritage, without forgetting our ornithological richness, vineyards and wonderful sunsets. Thanks the help of international volunteers young people and children of Madrigal will have the possibility of practicing English, through different activities organized in the summer camp.
Type of Work: Volunteers will teach English to children and young people between 3 year old and 14 year old, in collaboration with local volunteers and monitors, within the summer camp. The classes will cover different dynamics, presentation, phrases and vocabulary of everyday use. The activities will be focused on the environment and towards peace (sports and leisure activities, crafting, talk-café, paddle party, collaboration in the preparation of the medieval market and much more!)
Study Theme: Medieval history workshop, (Isabel "La Católica", Vasco de Quiroga “Tata Vasco”, Gabriel Espinosa “El Pastelero de Madrigal”, Mudejar), environmental workshop (steppe birds) and some notion of oenology workshop. (verdejo).
Accommodation: House of municipal property, fully equipped and furnished. The food and drink necessary for the maintenance of the volunteers, will be bought by the city council before its arrival.
