Description: Lauchhammer is a town in the Oberspreewald-Lausitz district, in southern Brandenburg, Germany. It is situated on the Black Elster river, approx. 17 km west of Senftenberg, and 50 km north of Dresden. Lauchhammer is well-known for mining in the past and for iron casting art. You will come across many historical monuments as reminders of the past. You will live and work in a leisure centre for children and youngsters.
Type of Work: International volunteers are invited to improve the grounds of the centre. Tasks are likely to include construction, gardening, maintenance and renovation works. It is planned to renew the Barefoot Path, to paint playground equipment, to maintain paths of the centre and similar tasks. Other environmental and construction works are possible. Please be aware that you will not work with children!
Requirements: In this camp you have to be able to ride a bike and to swim!
