Recovering traditional paths in the Pyrenees
Description: The aim of the project is to maintain and recover traditional paths around the village of Llagunes. Old paths that had a rural porpouse, and now can be very usefull for hiking and enjoying the nature.
Type of Work: The aim of the workcamp is to preserve and recover the pathways of the Vall de Siarb by doing differents tasks as: cutting invasive plants, removing the stones to let the path accessible, recovery of dry stone walls, habilitation and signage of the path etc. The work will be from 8:30 until 14:30.
Study Theme: The organization BalmesBlancs/Refugi Vall de Siarb will prepare differents activities like: visiting the ruins of a old middle age village near Llagunes as other ruins of the civil war.
Accommodation: Volunteers will sleep in a shared room (please, bring your sleeping bag), the place has two toilets and two showers with hot water. Volunteers will be splitted in 3 groups of 3 people, each group will prepare the food for one day and they will turn everyday. Remember to bring your food for the first day!
Requirements: Enthusiasm for conservation and the outdoors preferable
