Description: The objective of this program is to give continuity to an archeological research project and the desire to turn the archeological place into a museum that has been developed since 1980 with the permanent support of this association and the Portuguese Youth Institute. -contact with an archaeological investigation project, of a region with 2 World Patrimony: Rock Art of the Côa Valley and Alto Douro Vinhateiro (Douro River)
Type of Work: Excavation objectives: - Continue, through methodological archaeological excavation, to define the outline of the settlement, walls and housing structures. - Initiate works of restoration and conservation with a view to the musealization of the site. Tasks to Perform: During the camp volunteers will work no longer than 6h/day. - Methodological excavation work, with archaeologists accompaniment; Sorting and buoyancy of lands to collect various elements (coals, seeds, bones, etc.) for analysis; Washing and labeling of materials. Accommodation: Volunteers will be accommodated in the association's Youth Center, consisting of Restaurant, Bar, 2 dormitories and 8 bedrooms. Participants will not have to prepare meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) as they are served in the restaurant of the youth center.
