Experience Community Life (Jahnishausen near Riesa)
Description: The community LTGJ (Lebenstraumgemeinschaft) was founded in 2001; today there are about 55 people of all ages living together in buildings of a historical farmstead, which belongs to a manor in a rural part of the city of Riesa in Saxony. Many of the buildings have been restored and renovated in an ecological and monument protecting way. In addition to this a central wood heating was installed as well as a water recovering system, and ecological farming is realized in the two gardens and a field.
The community is a project, in which people of different generations have joined to explore community life as an experiment and to find out the ideal conditions for living together in sustainability and solidarity.
